Quicky PFFTs

I mentioned a long time ago that privately-funded projects seem to get finished faster than publically-funded ones. I have changed my mind. They are all slow. Why? Because they're all union laborers. If I got paid on an hourly basis just for being onsite for contract work, with no penalty for finishing late, and no possibility of getting fired, I'd be a slow worker, too. These guys working on a parking lot outside my window don't do anything besides move dirt around all day. What a job.

Speaking of jobs, it really irritates me when my coworkers ask me to do things that are not my responsibility. Once in a while, ok I understand that, but repeatedly? No, I'm not ok with that. Even worse, I don't like it when they push their unfinished projects on to me when they get tired of them, or can't figure out how to solve the problems. Yeah, great idea, make me call Sun support about something you've been working on, and they ask me all these questions I can't answer. Very efficient of you. As if I'm not busy enough without having to do these people's jobs, also.

I've called my apartment office about a section of ceiling that's falling in about 5 times now, over the course of 2 months, and I guess it's too hard for them to fix. All they have to do is scrape a strip of ceiling that's hanging off. That's it. Wonder of wonders, I think they actually fixed the leak that produced the collapsing ceiling in the first place. After a year of complaining about it. Sigh.

Is anyone watching The Mole on ABC? Besides me? It's a stupid show. I don't care who the Mole is. The things they make these people do are just dumb. And they say the people who are "executed" are the Mole's victims. No, they're just the people who guess wrong. It's not a bad concept, but very bad execution. No pun intended. On the other hand, Temptation Island is fun to watch. Oh yeah, it's a terrible show and makes me feel like slime for watching it, but at least it's entertainment. Especially when one of the couples came into the show hating each other. Great stuff, keep it up Fox!
