Amen, chief. I wouldn't want to date someone I didn't know at all. Unfortunately, if you spend too long "getting to know them" then you're roped into that Friend Zone and ain't nothing's gonna save you.

i gotta tell ya mikey... i am oblivious when men like me, especially guy friends. but the best relationships i have ever had have been with men who were friends for quite a while before i realized i liked them. it takes patience and boldness. you will be rewarded well for those. i'd be willing to bet most girls are just as clueless as me when it comes to this.

you also have to take into account said girls maturity level and how over the asshole type she is. thats when we realize how great our guy friends are. if you try to date us before we are over the assholes, you will only get burned as we walk on you. in the end, we eventually will want the kind like you, who we can be honest with and cuddle with. not the assholes.
