Texas Weather
   by stacy <pfftnet@stacy.pfft.net>

I moved to Texas in part because I love hot weather. I prefer really warm temperatures outside, like 85F, which is just perfect for me. It's also not so humid here, so you can go outside and actually breathe. It hardly ever rains, most days are sunny, and it's great for wearing shorts and heading to the pool (no beach around here).

Well, that's the way it is during summer anyway. It's 3 days past the autumn equinox, and already it's turning a bit chillier. Today the high was supposed to be 70, but I don't think it got over 65. That's pretty cold when you consider yesterday the high was 93 and it was terribly humid. The humidity has eased considerably because it rained all night and on and off all day today (which was great), but I'd rather have it warm and raining than cold and raining.

They say it should stay in the 70s and 80s through mid-November. I definitely hope so, and I hope we don't have to suffer through too many of these mid-60s days. I'm going to freeze to death!
