There's no such thing as a free lunch!
   by ocelot <cat@ansible.org>

Wednesday, I brought myself ravioli for lunch. I ended up not eating it, so I stuck it in the freezer.

Today, two days later, I look in the freezer, and it is no longer there.

Admittedly, this is partially my fault. I didn't label it. I didn't think I should have to. The management does not provide free food, so it should be simple logic that if you did not bring something yourself, it belongs to someone else.

Up until a few weeks ago, there was a Dilbert cartoon up on the fridge. In it, Pointy Haired Boss informs everyone that management will no longer be providing free sodas. When informed that management never provided free sodas, he said, "Yes we did, every day for the past five years I went to the fridge and helped myself to a nice, cold soda." One of the workers said, "That's funny. Every day for the past five years I brought a soda to work, and every time someone stole it."

This cartoon has mysteriously disappeared from the fridge. I do not doubt that the disappearance of my ravioli is related.

Pfft to people who steal pregnant women's lunches, forcing them to eat yucky minestrone soup instead.
