What?! No peanuts!?
by yawetag
Well, I've finally gotten back into the rhythm of work again after having last Thursday and Friday off.
I went to Chicago to visit mike, a fellow PFFTer here. It was a great vacation, considering it's the first I've had in over a year.
I left Thursday morning from Greenville/Spartanburg Airport. I was to fly to Charlotte, then change planes and fly non-stop to Chicago-O'Hare. The flight to Charlotte was only about 30 minutes, so no drinks were served.
The flight to Chicago was to be about 2 hours long, so I figured we'd at least get a snack, and possibly breakfast or lunch. Come to find out, all we got were drinks. When the guy sitting in the row in front of me asked for some peanuts, the stewardess said that they didn't have any because we weren't on a flight that served a snack. PFFT! I pay over $100 to fly on a plane, and they can't even have the decency to serve us peanuts! PFFT again! That would probably cost the airlines $10 at most to serve the whole plane peanuts... and that's if we all asked for 2 bags!
To the airline industry: Make peanuts a staple on all flights. Have a little 'peanut compartment' in front of each seat that contains at least 5 bags of peanuts. You'll have a lot more happy flyers with you if you do that. I guarantee it.
