Just How Big Is It?
   by stacy <pfftnet@stacy.pfft.net>

I'm a big basketball fan. This is one of my favorite times of the year, that is to say, NCAA tournament time. Watching basketball on TV is never more fun than during the Big Dance, and even if I don't particularly care who wins the whole thing, I have a good time watching.

This year, I don't care who wins. My favorite team lost in the first round, but that's ok because they weren't supposed to make it in the first place. There are a couple of teams I like, and I would like to see them go all the way, but I'm not going to be really upset if somebody else wins. However, I have a reservation about this year's Final Four, and it's only halfway decided!

I do not like the Big Ten. Call me a bigoted Southerner, but I don't. I wish the Big Ten's teams would have all lost in the first round. Alas, luck was with them this year, and it still is. Today, Saturday, two teams advanced to the Final Four, and BOTH of them are in the Big Ten. That's ridiculous. The Big Ten sucks! Everybody knows the Big Ten sucks! Come on, seriously. Maybe all those referees go home after the game and put on their Wolverine jackets or their Nittany Lions baseball caps, but nonetheless, something is going on here.

All I can say is (naturally) PFFT! The ACC is totally out of it. What's up with that? The SEC and the Pac 10, both considered the top conferences this year, have not been well represented in the tournament. What does that mean? I'll tell you, it means a conspiracy in the officiating ranks.
