Summer colds and running errands don't mix
by stacy <pfftnet@stacy.pfft.net>
The title says it all. I caught a cold from a coworker earlier in the week, and now everybody in the department has a sore throat and a runny nose. Fortunately, I've discovered that Tylenol Cold and Flu keeps me adequately high to function (and I mean high, this stuff is like solid-state Nyquil). That means at work, I'm something like a zombie on caffeine. I'm exhausted, but the drugs keep me awake and moving around.
I also have a zillion things I have to do. Believe it or not, the state government actually printed the wrong birthdate on my drivers license. I didn't even notice til I saw it said the expiration date was 6-6-06 (whoa!), and thought, "Wait, shouldn't that expire the same as my birthday?" Yes, it should, and 6-6-06 will not be my birthday, so I have to go tell them about that and have it corrected. It's ironic that this didn't happen before I turned 21, so that I would have gained a few months on that big day.
I need a haircut. I need to go to about 10 different stores to pick up some things. I don't even know where the stores are for some of the stuff I have to get. Sucks to be me. PFFT to be me!
