Those lousy butter pats

I have always wondered about a curious thing that these fancy, high-faluting restaurants always seem to do. Last night I went with a group of people to a fancy restaurant. The first thing they come out with is the bread.

Now I love good bread. The best to me is a soft, chewy and warm bread. Do they serve anything at all like that?

Of course not!

The bread they serve is hard and COLD. The worst part is that you open up one of those little butter pats...and guess what?

It's ICE COLD. You try and actually butter the stupid bread and the butter rolls off the bread. PFFT!

Why don't these people ever learn? Have they even TRIED to do this themselves?
