When They Die
by sziegler <zie31@aol.com>
All during the lives of celebrities they get the best stuff, the huge houses, and the awesome cars, but what people forget is that they have to work hard for everything they have. On top of that, everytime they mess up the media is all over them. The "them" I mean is the celebrity group.
Now, I know that you are all rolling your collective eye and saying "but those celebrities do really bad stuff like DUI and drugs." Hello? Think people; lots of non-celebs goto rehab, but then it's just somebody who is getting some help, not a super-star crisis.
My point is not that celebrities should be excused from justice, but that when they die, it shouldn't be about how many times they went over the speed limit, it should be not about what they did for us; it should be about who they were.
I know I don't have to explain why I wrote this, you can see lots of reasons in the news lately, but what really prompted me to was Sam Snead dying. There isn't much bad you can say about Mr. Snead, but I would bet that someone will find some dirt on him and when they do, just bow your head and pray.
