Swing batter, don't swing batter, we don't care
by mike <mike@pfft.net>
Ugh. Unbelievable. The baseball players union has set a tentative strike date of September 16th. Who the hell cares? Jesus, these are guys that make millions of dollars a year for playing a GAME. A game they ENJOY playing. It's the national pasttime, and you're screwing with it. If you don't stop dicking around, I'm going to officially name soccer the new national pasttime.
Attendance is down. You [players] get paid too much as it is. Why do you think the public would support you in the least if you decide to strike because you don't like your working conditions? Pfft. Eat it. If you don't want to play, don't play. I know about 8 million kids and mid-life crisis adults that would KILL to get paid to play baseball. Otherwise, shut up.
If you don't get paid what you want at your job, leave and go to another one. If you don't get paid what you want there, frickin' live with it, because then you know what your fair market value is. Life sucks - deal with it.
