Priorities way out of line....
   by nick <nick@arpa.com>

I've made a habit of waking up in the morning and reading the Atlanta Journal Constitution on the web. This morning, I do the same, and I run across a few articles. It's the middle of August and the news is typically going back to school related, or of course, the occasion murder. However, this morning, the headline reads "Four teenagers taken to jail after police bust party". Of course, the first thing that pops into my head is, those potheads are at it again. I click the link, and read on, to my surprise there were no drugs at this party, or even sex. This party was busted purely because of underage consumption of alcohol. Yes, this is against the law, but do you take 18 year olds to jail because of this? Our crowded jails just got more crowded, with those terrible teen alcoholics who are also attending Emory and Georgia Tech and on the honor roll. These kids might have problems, but they surely aren't criminals. I'm mad, so I click out of that article and go on to the next, this one looks more typical "Man suspected of murdering gas station attendant still loose". So let me get this straight, while the Swat team was busting a teen party, a murderer was actively killing on the streets...This is why I should be in office. PFFT!
